Jewellery Care

All of the jewellery sold on Magpiette is painstakingly handcrafted, and should last a long time with the right care.

All jewellery items should be gently cleaned only using warm, soapy water. Gemstones can be gently cleaned using a soft-bristled toothbrush and soapy water to remove dirt build-up behind settings. 

Apply all beauty products before putting on your jewellery and avoid contact between your jewellery and hairspray, deodrant or perfume where possible.

Remove your jewellery when swimming or doing household chores which involve the use of abrasive cleaners or chemicals.

Care should be taken when wearing jewellery with gemstones - even the hardest gems, such as diamonds, can be damaged if not cared for. Remove rings when doing any activities which might cause damage, such as washing dishes, going to the gym / lifting weights, doing DIY, etc. It's best to remove delicate necklaces and earrings before sleeping to avoid them catching in hair or bedding.
